In March, the White House released a “National Policy Framework for Artificial Intelligence,” calling upon Congress to enact a series of legislative proposals supporting the Trump Administration’s AI policy goals. To assess the implications of this recent policy framework, the Penn Program on Regulation, in collaboration with Penn Washington, is co-hosting an online panel conversation among University of Pennsylvania faculty who are leading experts on AI policy and governance:
In addition to examining how legislation that follows from the recent National Policy Framework might affect the future of AI innovation and its responsible development, the panel will explore other concerns addressed in the framework, including the economic impacts of AI on U.S. workers as well as legal issues related to privacy, intellectual property rights, online safety, and federal preemption.
